Bugs and bats are the limit of my home interior hunting expeditions. I think I would find scorpions a bit unnerving.

Interesting theory. That's how scientists work... making observations of repeatable events. Unfortunately, this only happens once a year. Makes research a bit difficult.

But soup is certainly a great treat on a cool day! Sounds delicious.

(:D) Best regards...

I found this blog once, then lost it. Took me forever to come back and find it. I thought I missed something here the last time I read half of it so just wanted to come back and finish it. Nice blog by the way.

Well, Barbara, if you've kept up on the freezer saga on FB, you know that there is no new freezer!! They tried to deliver a washing machine. The whole thing is going to make a dilly of a blog post. The pear honey sounds absolutely awesome. Share the recipe if you find it!! We would love you!! Well, already do, but maybe more? :-)

The soup sounds wonderful ,though it is still hot and sticky here in Wi. Well ,you wouldn't think so .A hot day here is about 85,but it is so humid.
Beth speaking of the pears ,reminded me of my Grandma making "Pear Honey" I have lost the recipe ,but it had Lemon and Ginger in it ,and was heavenly. I may do a search for that .
Good luck on you NEW Freezer ,Mary Beth.

Thank you Beth! I've actually been canning veggies because the freezer died and that was the best thing to do to avoid losing everything! I look into that research idea and decide if I really care enough about a Nobel prize to go to that kind of trouble. :-)

So glad to read your blog again! Your scorpion theory is very interesting although you might need a little more data for a Nobel prize. The grant, on the other hand, might be doable depending on who you know. The soup looks delicious. I have only put up jam this summer. I now have a ton of pears ripening from my mother-in-law's ancient pear tree. Looking forward to your next post!
